While they describe themselves as “Dick Dale meets “Pixies”, you could just as easily say “Man Or Astroman? meets Laika & The Cosmonauts”, or perhaps a mixture of all four of these bands. They aren’t traditional surf, but like the bands mentioned above, there is quite a bit of power behind their sound. Some of the songs have a punk/metal edge to them, so this isn't a disc for the faint-hearted. I guess there’s just something about that part of Europe (Spaceguards are from Amsterdam) that leads surf bands down the path of metal on occasion. This disc falls somewhere between a CD and a CD-EP, with 9 original songs written by guitarist Kasper Gerlach.
