Hawaiians - Hula On Mars
Yeehaaaa! The new CD full packed with PopPunk nuggets. A must have! Earcatching bubblegum-pop-punk-rock from Germany. The Groovie Ghoulies, Queers, and The Travoltas meets The Beach Boys and the Ramones.A very weird but nevertheless well working blend.Great tunes, great lyrics, cool vocals and the icing on the cake is the madly pounding punk'n roll. The Hawaiians should be part of any good party DJ's repertoire. Their songs are forcefully driven into your auditory canal to stay. Dan Cooper (Kamikaze-labelhead) is already addicted to the Hawaiians. "A mean little rock'n roll virus turnung your musical tastes inside out" Brought to fame by supporting The Queers & raved about by the OX magazine even before their debut 'Teenagers Love' came out, these exeptional band is on their way to the punk rock charts.

"At last! A new hawaiians record! (I like to start my reviews with "at last"). I really couldnt wait to hear this one too. I even got the album before the official release date, lucky me. A perfect rocknroll record. Everything is there. Everything the retarded kids like is on it: rock, space, jungle, girls, secret agents and summertime. After listening the whole album for the first time, i was feeling like i played the old computer game Zak McKraken all night. The new singer continues the good tradition started with the first album. It still sounds as Hawaiians as before, maybe just a little bit more edgy. With a very fine touch of attitude added. Just like if the guys were now a year and a half older now. Teenagers Love was on my 2006 TOP 5 records, and this one will definetly be for 2007. A bit less Tiki, but way more punkrocknroll. I'm dying to hear the next one." (PAF)
