Dusty Gray & his Rough Ridin' Ramblers
Anno Domini 1998: Frank Höhne aka Dusty Gray is tired of pissing of only his neighbors with his tunes. Being lovely 19 years of age, he hooks up with his 10-year old brother Holly, bassplayer of Mad Sin and ex-bassplayer of the Primitive Rockers and the Sundowners to pursue a project aimed at the sound of the 50’s.

Holly is extremely entertained by that idea and so their parents peaceful home in Friedenau is turned into a rock’n roll practice garage. In no short time, the lack of a lead guitarist became obvious. A couple of jam sessions later, our friends found Tex Morton, having played in inumerable bands before. The line-up is complete and rightaway puts out his first hit, a Johnny Cash cover (Cold Lonesome Morning) as a bonus to the rock’n roll mag ‘DYNAMITE’.

Also, they swiftly develop a stage program, already consisting largely of originals.
First gig is held on December 26. 1999 at the Roten Salon in Berlin with mit Smokestack Lightnin'.
Despite of entirely well-meaning write-ups, the band decides, it takes more than a trio. As a drummer, they hire Juergen from the Desperado 5. This proves to be an only brief encounter, for Juergen leaves the band in December 2000 for schedule problems. Quite a loss! New drummer comes along named Tommy Gun. Also they figure, a blues harp would fit in well, so up comes the Berlin based and Manchester raised Malcolm Arison.
So now, friends, these are the ingredients for that highly explosive cocktail of rockabilly, barnshakin' hillbilly und boppin' blues, that you are been lacking.
