Jancee Pornick Casino - Rocker
Have you ever heard of a thing like a Russian-American surf/ rock'n roll band? I guess there's only one on the planet and that's The Jancee Pornick Casino. The maniacal Torbotrous brothers from St. Petersburg and their American partner in crime ,Jancee Warnick from Portland, OR, share a weird but contagious sense of humor and a fondness of a wildly pounding rockabilly groove.
After their legendary debut 'Marlboro Men Attack' (get it on www.janceewarnick.com) their new album 'Rocker' is the perfect rock'n roll album: Great writing, a great variety of retro styles, great sound and performed with enormous portions of humor and adrenaline.

…and they blast away…first chord hits you like a ton of bricks…very trendy…Hawaiian rock a la Dick Dale, just better, fresher, more creative, From Elvis-, Beatles- and Kinks-sounds…it's all there, but it's all taking place on…Hawaii! It's THE right album for the oncoming summer."
(Georg Stassen, HR 1, May 2002)

"Great writing, a great variety of retro styles, great sound and performed with enormous portions of humor and adrenaline." (CRYPT-O-RAMA, # 7, Greece)

" Surprisingly the transcontinental cooperation doesn't verge into chaos but on a technical level very hard to come by among guitar bands these days."
(Spex Magazine, 03/2001)

''And the certain thing is that they did not remain nothing badly, they showed to be excellent musicians. And they tried to show us also that Elvis (of the one that various themes were marked), only was not the King, but also the Czar of the rock'n 'roll.'' (Superpunk Magazine, Madrid, Sept 2002

"…wow, somebody must’ve heard a lot of Sun-recordings. Meaning here country meet rockabilly and R’n’B. To this they add a twangy surf guitar every now and then and get an extremely hot rock’n roll cocktail, having the potential to become an international issue. This trio from the great river Rhine knows how to play and celebrate rock’n roll without falling into boring cliches. Great debut!" (OX)

"Smart, down-to-earth, super-brilliantly played smashers and and some smoothies a la Velevetone. Plus: Fat twang, classically clean production, nothing fake, but delivered with some laissez-faire arrogance, remindful of Stray Cats." (FLIGHT 13) )
