This band plays high injected speed surf like a hurricane. No garage nor sixties influences on this album, nope, pure high quality instro-surf. This makes this band so unique and enjoyable for the public, yes even for the 'regular' people on various festivals. They've supported bands such as : The Apeman, Jon & The Nightriders, Slacktone, 50 Foot Combo, just to name a few. In that case they're certainly not a bands as all the others.
Speedball Jr. was founded back in 2000 here in Belgium, and after a few gigs they've done what no other band did before them... THE ROCK CONCOURS FLANDERS. At this contest the band finished 3rd which resulted in many concerts all over Europe.
They were even asked to play with THE PRISONERS in London, UK. After that gig , other UK booking offices called in to have them booked, so keep an eye on our concert date pages to see when the bands kicks off to England ! After the succes with their videoclip on TMF and Jim TV , the band is ready to do more concerts in Europe!
The first full CD „Whiplash“ was recorded 2006 at Zamans Catfarm studio and was released by Drunkabilly Records. The second album „For the broad minded“ recorded 2006 at CCR and released by Green Cookie records. The album consists of eight self penned tracks some of wich are already considered classics, and four covers from the dutch Treble Spankers, Huevos Rancheros, Dick Dale & the Chantays.
